Tracking the intake of a pet and the outcome of this pet is an incredibly important process for a rescue or shelter. Here is how to track this data in Pawlytics!
When a pet is first entered into Pawlytics, an intake event will automatically be created. To access this section, click on the 'Intake/Outcome' tab in the pet's profile.
Here you can see the auto-generated intake event. If you had not entered an intake date when creating the pet, the date will be set for the day you entered the pet. Likewise, if you did not enter any information for Intake Type or Condition, "Other" and "Healthy" will be auto-filled respectively. You can change any of these values by clicking edit.
When there is an outcome event for the pet, navigate back to this same tab, and click 'Add Outcome Event' at the top of the page. A new box to enter the outcome event will populate.
From here, you have the options to enter your outcome type and date. If applicable (such as in the case of adoption or transfer), a field will also populate for people and organizations. Click 'Create Outcome Event', and your date for the outcome of your pet will be saved.
You will see the outcome information, and the pet's status will also be automatically updated to reflect this new event.
A few more quick notes for this section:
- In the event of a returned pet, you can always add another intake/outcome set without limitation
- You can also delete events (starting with the most recent) up to the first intake. This event can only be edited, but not deleted.
