Shelter Animals Count (SAC) and Shelter Pet Data Alliance Report

Learn how to download and read your Shelter Animals Count / Shelter Pet Data Alliance report!

Pulling your report:

Admin, Manager, and Analyst level users can now generate your rescue or shelter's SAC / Shelter Pet Data Alliance report anytime you need it!

  • Navigate to the Reporting tab inside Pawlytics and click Downloadable CSV Reports
  • Click on the Generate Report button and you'll be prompted to enter the time frame you want to pull your numbers from
  • If you only need one month's numbers, enter the same month for start and end period and click Generate Report.

Please be patient! This is a beefy report and depending on the amount of data you're needing to pull, it could take a few minutes.

Don't leave this screen, when the report is ready, you'll click "Download CSV" to download it directly to your computer:

Reading your report

Please note that regardless of which animals your rescue works with, this report will pull for all types of animals available: Canines, Felines, Rabbits, Small Animals (this will also include Guinea Pigs). It is important not to change the structure of this report if you intend to upload it to your Shelter Animals Count account or Shelter Pet Data Alliance account. 

Here are a few other things to note about what information does and doesn't populate into this report:

  • Columns JL (Relinquished by Owner by age group)
    • The numbers in these column combine intake types "Owner Surrender" and "Return to Rescue"
  • Columns M→O (Intake Owner-Intended Euthanasia by age group)
    • These columns will always show 0 for the time being as Pawlytics doesn't currently track this data
  • Columns P→X (Transferred In from Instate Agency and Out of State Agency by age group)
    • This information can only be populated if you have your rescue's address filled out in the details section of your organization settings AND you have the addresses entered into each of your transferring Partner profiles.
  • Columns Y→AA (Seized or Impounded by age group)
    • These columns will always show 0 for the time being as Pawlytics doesn't currently track this data
  • Columns AB→AD (Other Intakes by age group)
    • The numbers in these column combine intake types "Born In Care" and "Other"
  • Columns AK→AS (Transferred Out to Instate Agency and Out of State Agency by age group)
    • This information can only be populated if you have your rescue's address filled out in the details section of your organization settings AND you have the addresses entered into each of your transferring Partner profiles.
  • Columns AT→AY (Returned To Field** and Other Live Outcome by age group)
    • These columns will always show 0 for the time being as Pawlytics doesn't currently track this data

**A NOTE FOR TNR RESCUES:

Please be aware that while Pawlytics does have a TNR status, we do not yet have a Return to Field outcome.

For this reason, TNR rescues may have inaccurate numbers depending on how these pets are recorded in Pawlytics:

  • Pets with a TNR status will show as currently in care
  • Be mindful of how you're recording TNR outcomes when looking at your numbers
  • Columns BC→BE (Lost In Care by age group)
    • These columns will always show 0 for the time being as Pawlytics doesn't currently track this data
  • Columns BF→BH (Shelter Euthanasia by age group)
    • The numbers in these column combine 3 Euthanasia outcome types: Sick/Injured, Behavior, and Rabies
  • Column BL (Beginning Count)
    • This number includes any pet whose most recent Event was an Intake Event as of  12am (00:00) on the first day of the month
  • Column BM (Beginning Foster Animal Count)
    • This number includes any pet that has a Foster Location entered as of 12am (00:00) on the first day of the month
  • Column BO (Ending Count)
    • This number includes any pet whose most recent Event was an Outcome Event as of  11:59pm (23:59) on the last day of the month
  • Column BP (Ending Foster Animal Count)
    • This number includes any pet that has a Foster Location entered as of 11:59pm (23:59) on the last day of the month
