Data Upload FAQ

Answers to common questions about uploading your rescue's previous pets, people, and partner's information in your Pawlytics.

>>>This link will take you to the form and CSV we need to have filled out to upload your data. <<<

  1. What does uploading data cost?

We charge $50 for the initial 250 lines of data and an additional $25 for each additional 250 lines. 500 lines would be $75.

  2. What is a line?
Think like a row in an Excel sheet. There can be multiple columns (ex. species, breed, age, intake date...) in a single line.
Each person, pet, and partner will need to be on their own line.
  3. Are there upload templates?
Yes! There is a template for pets, people, and partners as well as a sheet with the acceptable data values. You can find these >>>>templates here<<<<!
  4. Can you upload medical events? Images? Files?

Once your pets, people, and partner data has been cleaned and uploaded in Pawlytics you can upload your medical events, images, and files into their Pawlytics' profiles.

  5. Which pet columns are required to be filled in?
    1. Status
    2. Breed is required if Species is listed
    3. Microchip Brand is required if Microchip Number is listed
    4. Intake Date
    5. Intake Type
      1. Intake From is required for External Transfers and Owner Surrenders
    6. Intake Condition
    7. Outcome Date
    8. Outcome Type
      1. Outcome To is required for Adoptions and Transfers

6. What if a pet has more than one intake/outcome event?

If a pet has more than one intake and outcome event, we recommend inputting the most recent intake and outcome events. Only one intake and one outcome date can be uploaded.

7. What if some of the pets or people are already created in Pawlytics, will I have duplicates?

To avoid duplicates we recommend removing duplicates before sending the files to the Pawlytics team. If we have a support account in your Pawlytics we will do our best to search your current pets and grab their Pawlytics ID if you haven't already included it.

The Pawlytics ID can be found in the URL of the pet's profile.
