Who is Companion Protect?
Companion Protect is a pet insurance company specifically for rescue and shelter cats and dogs. Yep, they specialize in the animals we all care about, and that’s all they do! Their team is dedicated to providing simple, transparent pet insurance to help rescue pet owners keep their beloved pets protected. Check out their website here!
Why are we partnering with Companion Protect?
Here at Pawlytics we are dedicated to creating partnership with companies aligned with our values, and Companion Protect aligns PURRfectly! They provide easy-to-understand, affordable insurance for rescue pet owners.
Based on discussions we’ve had with Pawlytics users, we know many feel pet insurance helps keep adopted pets with their families. We hope this value is a reflection of this partnership.
We’re so excited about this Companion Protect, we made a list as to why we can’t wait to work with them! Check it out:
- No breed restrictions, they don’t ask what the breed is
- Owners will not have to give up a pet due to unexpected vet bills they cannot pay
- Owners can go to any vet, no network restrictions
- Companion Protect is specifically for rescue and shelter pets
- They were started by a shelter director who saw a need for insurance specifically made for shelter/rescue pets (they’ve been our shoes too!)
- Covers holistic care for pets
- As the pet ages, the premium does not change
- They are local to the Midwest, just like the Pawlytics team (we’ve met with them and can confirm their team is PAWsome!)
- They are passionate about helping care for rescue and shelter pets (It’s all they do!)
What does this mean for my organization?
This new partnership means your adopters will be able to choose to have their pet protected by the only Pet Insurance specifically catered to rescue pets. Each time a pet is marked as adopted, the adopter will receive four emails from Companion Protect over a 30 day period. During this time, they will have the option to enroll their new family member with Companion Protect or not to enroll.
If they choose not to…
They will receive no contact from Companion Protect after the fourth email. (They can also choose to unsubscribe from the first email.)
If they choose to enroll…
They will be contacted be Emmie or Sammy from Companion Protect to get their pet’s enrollment finalized!
Your team doesn’t need to relay coverage/policy details to adopters. Since they are not licensed insurance agents, they legally can’t interpret coverage.
Meet Emmie!
Since 2018, Emmie has worked with dozens of shelters across the country. Through her training sessions and personal interactions with staff, Emmie has a unique insight into the day-to-day challenges that shelters face. A firm believer in total transparency and support, Emmie hopes that shelters can come to her with anything they need.
